These are commonly known as open edition prints, as there is no limit to the number of items printed by the publisher.

We currently supply two types of canvas prints, which are as follows:

Here the design is digitally printed onto a blank canvas using pigment-based inks, then folded around a box frame and fittings applied so that it is ready for hanging

Here the original paper print is combined to a high quality canvas material, which is then folded by hand around a deep rigid wooden frame. In the final stages the print is trimmed and the edges smoothed so that it looks as though the print and canvas are one and the same. A varnish is applied in a uniform manner to the print to enhance the overall look and to provide protection and the necessary fittings are applied for hanging.

Here the artist has produced and signed a limited number of prints stating the number of the print and the maximum amount of items in the series, for example 39/300 which denotes that the print is number 39 of a maximum run of 300 prints. Once the 300th print has been sold the piece will no longer be available. Due to the limited nature of these prints they are more valuable than open editions and command a higher price. They may also increase in value depending upon the popularity of the artist. Occasionally celebrities or sports personalities may also sign the artwork, which is stated in the item description.

In most cases we sell the original artwork, which is unique. Occasionally you may be buying the original piece, from which a limited edition print range has been produced, which is clearly stated in the item description. We also have a small range of items from Fabbrica Studios, where the artists produce a range of original paintings of a similar theme, on a semi production line basis. Even though each design is still unique, other pieces also exist which have a similar appearance, hence they are not as valuable for investment purposes as an original unique painting. They do however look and feel very expensive and have been individually signed and dated by the artist.

These are printed on paper similar to our art prints but contain photographic images.

These are open edition prints that have been supplied by the publisher in a precision cut mount. Generally these are only available in a single mount colour, which is stated in the item description. They are ideal for presents or low cost framed artwork, as they take less time to frame.

Original artwork can take from 14-28 days depending on the location of the piece. If you are interested in buying an original item and the delivery time is crucial, please call or send an email first to info@artworld-uk.com and we will give you an estimated dispatch date. If the painting is on display in our shop it can normally be delivered within 48 hours.

We package our items to the best of our ability, however due to circumstances out of our control items are occasionally damaged in transit. If this happens please contact us by either telephone or email and we will arrange for the item to be returned for either replacement or repair.
